AHG is proud to Cooperate with PCA Churches Nationwide.

American Heritage Girls (AHG) is a Christ-centered character and leadership development program for girls ages 5 to 18. Using scout-type methods as a form of ministry, AHG is discipling girls for Christ in a setting full of faith, service, and fun!

AHG isn't Bible study or Sunday School, nor is AHG just another youth organization devoid of faith. AHG is a life-changing ministry that incorporates outdoor adventure, teaches life skills through badge work, and awards achievement. Better yet, AHG is a natural complement to the youth and women's discipleship programs that the PCA is working to grow. The AHG Program can be adapted to your PCA church context. Though AHG is firmly rooted in Jesus, it isn’t a denominational ministry. AHG is created for girls, parents, and churches like yours. AHG is a solution to the pressure and doubt in the hearts and minds of girls 5 to 18 years old. It is an answer to the struggle parents have in raising their daughters. Why? Because everything about AHG is centered around Biblical Truths.

Every AHG Troop is owned by a Charter Organization (churches) that aligns with the AHG Statement of Faith. As the owner of the Troop, each Charter Organization has full control of the faith formation of the girls in the Troop. AHG's volunteer-led program offers girls the opportunity to develop a Biblical worldview and learn valuable life skills through robust programming that will help you reach your ministry goals and grow the Kingdom.

AHG is ready to come alongside your church in discipling girls to become women of integrity who will one day serve the PCA and other Bible-based churches.

Connect with AHG

"American Heritage Girls provides an excellent program where girls develop into women who love God, love His creation, and love the people He has placed in their lives. AHG is an excellent tool to help families and churches nurture the next generation to be better servants and, consequently, Godlier leaders."

- Stephen T. Estock | Coordinator, Christian Discipleship Ministries Presbyterian Church in America

"The ministry of American Heritage Girls helps us as a church to fulfill our commission to make disciples. As a tool, AHG enables our parents to invest in the lives of our young ladies, helping each student to continue connecting to God, connecting to the body, and connecting to others. AHG compliments our pre-existing Trail Life USA Troop as a model of Biblical masculinity and femininity."

- Rev. Karl McCallister | Senior Pastor - Faith Presbyterian Church | SC8611

MISSION

Building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country.

VISION

American Heritage Girls is the premier national character development organization for young women that embraces Christian values and encourages family involvement.

OATH

I promise to love God, cherish my family, honor my country, and serve in my community.

Statement of Faith

American Heritage Girls is a Christ-centered leadership and character development ministry. The following Statement of Faith applies to all American Heritage Girls’ Charter Organizations and Adult Members.

“We believe that there is one Triune God–Father; Jesus Christ, His one and only Son; and the Holy Spirit–Creator of the universe and eternally existent. We believe the Holy Scriptures (Old and New Testaments) to be the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We believe each person is created in His image for the purpose of communing with and worshipping God. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, Who enables us to live Godly lives. We believe that each individual is called to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength; and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We believe God calls us to lives of purity, service, stewardship, and integrity.”

Clarity is further provided to the following terms:

Purity–God calls us to lives of holiness, being pure of heart, mind, word, and deed. We are to reserve sexual activity to the sanctity of marriage; a lifelong commitment before God between a man and a woman.

Service–God calls us to become responsible members of our community and the world through selfless acts that contribute to the welfare of others.

Stewardship–God calls us to use our God-given time, talents, and money wisely.

Integrity–God calls us to live moral lives that demonstrate an inward motivation to do what is right, regardless of the cost.

AHG Program

American Heritage Girls provides Christ-centered progressive programming tailored to the age and ability of each child. The AHG Program consists of six key components known as the AHG Program Emphases. A girl who completes the AHG Program will be a Christ-following servant leader who is honoring, relational, anchored in Christ, and competent: a woman of integrity.
